TFS HealthScience has introduced a new global brand identity aimed at communicating its approach to clinical research partnerships with biotechnology, pharmaceutical and medical technology companies. Headquartered in Lund, Sweden, the contract research organization (CRO) operates in more than 40 countries. The updated identity, launched on October 5, centers on the tagline “Securing the path from science to life” and emphasizes four areas the company says distinguish its services: transparency, timely scientific decision-making, therapeutic specialization and continuity of study teams. The rebranding does not involve changes to the company’s leadership or its commitment to existing sponsor programs, according to TFS.
CEO Markus Granlund says the identity reflects the company’s direction and the role its employees play in supporting customers’ clinical development programs.
One of the central themes of the rebrand is maintaining consistent teams throughout a study. TFS reports that 88% of its teams remain in place for the duration of a clinical trial, which it says is eight percentage points above the industry average.
Continuity can be an important consideration for sponsors managing complex trials, where changes in personnel may affect institutional knowledge, communication and operational consistency. TFS says its model is designed to keep the people involved at a study’s outset engaged through to database lock.
The company also highlights direct access to therapeutic leadership as a way to accelerate decisions. Its clinical leads are involved in the relevant indication before a study begins, with the goal of identifying issues early and reducing the need for decisions to pass through multiple levels of management.
TFS identifies dermatology, internal medicine, neuroscience, oncology and ophthalmology as its core therapeutic areas. The company says this focus allows its clinical teams to bring indication-specific knowledge to study planning and execution.
