London Heathrow Airport’s CEO, John Holland-Kaye, Pays a Visit to Micropore Technologies

Following its award as a Global Britain Business Champion by London’s Heathrow Airport, Micropore Technologies was delighted to host a personal visit by Heathrow’s CEO John Holland-Kaye and his team, who this week toured its head office facilities and laboratories at the Wilton Centre on Teesside in the UK. The Heathrow delegation were able to meet the young team responsible for the development of Micropore’s award-winning AXF-mini device which has the potential to revolutionize the production of lipid nanoparticles, the key component of the mRNA vaccines being used to control the spread of COVID-19 virus.

“It was great to show John and his team around our lab and to have the opportunity of explaining our pioneering technology face-to-face,” said Dai Hayward, Micropore’s CEO.

Travel via London’s Heathrow Airport plays a vital role in keeping Micropore connected to its global network of vaccine producing customers and so, whilst Heathrow was recognizing Micropore’s success on the world stage, this visit also provided the opportunity for the Micropore team to thank Heathrow for the vital role it is playing in enabling Micropore’s pioneering work in the field of frontline pharmaceuticals.

Heathrow CEO John Holland Kaye said “I was delighted to be able to visit a Heathrow Global Britain Business Champion, who has demonstrated the very best of British innovation. As the UK’s largest port, we recognise the critical role Heathrow plays in supporting both domestic and international connectivity, and we are proud to provide the key trading links Micropore depend upon to export their goods to over 30 countries.”
