  • As outsourcing decisions grow more complex, buyers increasingly weigh communication, responsiveness, and early problem-solving alongside quality, compliance, pricing, and on-time delivery.

ISR Market Research is developing an artificial intelligence-enabled platform designed to help pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies access market intelligence and make more informed outsourcing decisions. The new interface is targeted for launch in early 2027.

The Cary, NC-based research firm, part of the ramarketing Group, plans to use the platform to improve access to its library of syndicated benchmarking studies and market analysis. The goal is to help users find relevant data more efficiently when evaluating potential service providers and making commercial decisions.

The initiative comes as drug developers face growing challenges in selecting outsourcing partners. Geopolitical uncertainty, supply chain vulnerabilities, and shifting customer expectations are adding complexity to decisions about contract development, manufacturing, and other pharmaceutical services.

ISR CEO Kate Hammeke says the company has spent more than 15 years developing research to help organizations assess outsourcing options. The AI-enabled interface is intended to build on that foundation by making the company’s research easier to navigate and apply to specific business needs.

The company also points to a shift in how pharmaceutical buyers assess service providers. Quality, regulatory compliance, pricing, and on-time delivery remain critical, but these factors are increasingly viewed as basic requirements rather than ways for suppliers to stand out. Communication, responsiveness, and the ability to identify and address potential problems early are becoming more influential in supplier selection and long-term relationships.

ISR’s syndicated benchmarking studies and custom research examine buyer priorities, supplier perceptions, competitive trends, and customer experiences. The company expects the new platform to make these insights more accessible as organizations compare providers and assess how well potential partners align with their operational and commercial needs.

The development follows ISR’s acquisition by the ramarketing Group earlier in 2026. ISR has also introduced an updated brand identity and website as part of its efforts to strengthen its market position and make its research services easier to access.

The partnership with ramarketing adds another dimension to the offering, combining ISR’s market research capabilities with the group’s expertise in commercial strategy, brand positioning, and marketing execution. According to Yasmin Davoodi, chief commercial officer of ramarketing Group, the investment is intended to help pharmaceutical companies connect market intelligence with practical commercial decisions.

With the planned launch in early 2027, ISR aims to expand how pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies use specialized outsourcing research to evaluate suppliers, understand industry trends, and navigate an increasingly complex market.
