BioDuro-Sundia Launches New Compound Management Center, Strengthening Drug Discovery Services

BioDuro-Sundia recently announced the launch of a new Compound Management Center at its Waigaoqiao site in the Shanghai Free-Trade Zone, China. This new center enables the systematic storage, handling, and management of compounds, further enhancing the company’s comprehensive drug discovery capabilities.

The center features a compound storage laboratory equipped with real-time temperature and humidity control systems, which can manage approximately 400,000 compounds in both solid and liquid formats. Key services include storage, weighing, dissolution, plating, liquid chromatography–mass spectrometry (LC–MS) analysis, and distribution. The center is also equipped with a Hamilton liquid handling station for fully automated workflows, and the Mosaic sample management software to track and manage steps in each sample’s lifecycle.

This state-of-the-art center offers customers peace of mind by ensuring that their compounds are securely stored, their inventories are meticulously tracked and updated in real-time, and their samples are readily accessible for quick delivery. When combined with the company’s established drug discovery services on-site, the new facility will enable clients to expedite their research and development processes, reducing costs and accelerating the discovery of new candidate therapies.

“Our new Compound Management Center represents a significant step forward in our commitment to providing world-class drug discovery services,” said Dr. Armin Spura, CEO of BioDuro-Sundia. “By integrating this cutting-edge compound management system with our drug discovery platform, we can offer our clients faster, more reliable solutions to bring their new drug candidates to market, benefiting patients around the world.”
