3M DDS Names New President & General Manager


3M Drug Delivery Systems recently announced the appointment of Cindy
R. Kent as its new President and General Manager. She succeeds James Ingebrand, who was recently named President and General Manager of 3M ESPE, 3M’s dental division.

Ms. Kent most recently served as the Vice President of Strategy, Business Development and US Medical Key Accounts for 3M Healthcare. Prior to joining 3M, she was Vice President and General Manager of the Gastro/Urology Therapies Business Unit of Medtronic, Inc. and has held a number of roles at Eli Lilly in manufacturing, human resources, sales, and marketing, giving her broad expertise in the pharmaceutical and medical device industries.

“In this new role, I’m excited to have a wealth of feedback from our customers on which we can base our vision and work toward future opportunities,” said Ms. Kent. “Customers have let us know that they believe we add value because of our outstanding quality and our technical expertise, both in manufacturing and on the scientific front, and I want to continue building on that trusted reputation.”

Ms. Kent is a 2013 Aspen Institute Henry Crown Fellow. She holds a BS in Industrial Engineering and Management Science from Northwestern University, as well as an MBA in Marketing and a Master’s in Divinity, both from Vanderbilt University.
